Risk Taker

The idea for this piece came from Perth train station standing looking up at the latticework roof structure and imagining someone up there. It's the city so the first few lines almost wrote themselves. The voice and the rhythm took over and did the rest.

High wire
High flyer
Ten degrees
Too good for me.

I was a low key
Low fee
Low life
Unlucky enough
To lift her heart
Instead of her purse.

When she dumped me
From her great height -
I landed right at home
On the ground floor.
